For my birthday trip, this wasn’t a huge turn-up/party trip. In fact, it was quite the opposite. In this blog, I’m going to share my accommodation and my experience in Cabo.
The first thing I did to make my life easier and my trip seamless was to reach out to a travel agent to get more information as well as have her book the trip for me. I wanted the option to pay out the trip over a 5-6 month period. I knew where I wanted to go, how much I was willing to spend, and that I wanted to stay at an all-inclusive resort with everything included. I didn’t want to worry about spending any more money once I got there (minus tipping staff.) The travel agent I reached out to was Marissa of Spread Your Wings Travel. This was the first time I’ve used a travel agent and I’m so glad I did. Marissa booked our trip, set up payment plans for my friends and I, and set up our transfers to and from the airport. She sent my friends and I a checklist, reminders, and checked in on us to make sure we were taken care of. She was always a text or call away.
We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos in Cabo, Mexico which was an all-inclusive resort with beach access. As you know, with an all-inclusive, everything is included: the food, the drinks, the shots, the room service — EVERYTHING. The staff was very courteous, kind, and accommodating. The food was was great as well. They had a variety of dining options such as a buffet, Hibachi, French, Italian, Mexican, and much more. There were two pools and an area for adults only which is a plus. The resort had direct beach access with cabanas and chairs you could lay out on and lounge on. If you choose to lay on the beach, they have a hostess that will bring drinks to you, and even a food truck on the property. The Hyatt has several activities to participate in during the day such as dance lessons, karaoke, cooking classes, and much more. There’s always something to do!
We didn’t venture off the resort very much, but we did once prior to leaving and it was worth it. We bought tickets to a hip hop boart party, and it was so much fun!! There was a live DJ on the boat who played hip-hop and rap music, lunch was served, and all-you-can-drink alcohol was provided. It lasted for 3 hours and they even took you by the arches to get a candid photo. Even with so many different types of personalities and backgrounds on the boat, it was like a huge family reunion.
My 30th Birthday trip was one for the books. If you’re ever in Cabo, I highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and going to the hip-hop boat party!!
