This past summer, my friend and I decided that we were overdue for a vacation. After going through countless suggestions from one another, and comparing countless beach cities, we both decided that Palm Springs, Florida would be our destination. We just wanted to relax on the beach, eat good food, and reset from exhaustion. Neither one of us had ever been to Palm Springs, FL. We didn’t know what to expect, but we both ended up having so much fun. In this blog, you’ll find food spots we loved, our hotel accommodations, and activities that we enjoyed.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We stayed at a hotel on the beach that had private access. With Covid still around, we didn’t want to be around a lot of people. We stayed at Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront/Palm Beaches Resort. The hotel was not all-inclusive, however, it was pretty nice. It was a bit of an older hotel, but our room was pretty spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did have a balcony that we could see the beach from. They also did tack quite a bit of fees onto the stay so be sure to read the fine print and be prepared for additional fees.
The hotel had beach access that was only open to hotel guests and the water was breathtakingly beautiful. With the room, you get beach chairs and umbrellas, and a beautiful front-row seat to the beach. They had an onsite restaurant, and bar which is always a good thing. I would rate my stay there an 8/10 overall.
RESTAURANTS
I absolutely love food and trying new restaurants is probably one my favorite things to do. My friend and I tried a variety of restaurants and for the most part, they did not disappoint. I share the ones I enjoyed below.
Avocado Grill
The Avocado Grill was the cutest place we visited I would have to say. The drinks are good, fresh and have a nice kick. It’s a rather small, quaint spot. I got the chimichuri steak with fries as my entree. We got the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer. I really enjoyed my food.
Batch New Southern Kitchen: West Palm Beach
Batch New Southern Kitchen: West Palm Beach was so good. Upon getting there, we were seated promptly. The staff was really nice and offered helpful suggestions. I got the fried chicken (dark meat) and waffles. The chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection, and my waffle was infused with maple syrup.
It was delicious. We got deviled eggs with bacon on top as an appetizer and an alcoholic beverage that was so good. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by here.
Henry’s Palm Beach
This spot was a cute, upscale spot with superb service and good food. When you walk in, you can tell they’re setting a certain vibe with dim lighting and an upscale look. The staff was kind and we were seated promptly. The food was beautifully plated and really good. If you’re looking for good food in an upscale setting, this is the spot for you.
Sara’s Kitchen
I’m not going to lie, this was my favorite spot. It was so good, we went two days in a row for breakfast. It’s a mom-and-pop shop that serves everything you can think of for breakfast. Small and quaint but the food is POPPIN’.
From the bacon, eggs, french toast, pancakes, toast, potatoes and so much more. They don’t miss. They also give you huge portions for a very low price. If you don’t try any other places, I recommend you stop by here.
THINGS TO DO
We didn’t do too much while we were there. Mostly the beach and eating. But we did go to the outlets and do a bit of shopping which is always nice.
I do recommend you rent a car because things are spread out. If you try any of my recommendations, be sure to tag me on social media so I can see you at @shelbybrenna_.
