I spent three days in New Orleans, Louisiana, for the Boy Is Mine Concert, and I’m sharing my honest hotel review, must-try restaurants, and a simple 2-day itinerary that’s fun, chill, and not overwhelming.

Where to Stay in New Orleans? My Hotel Review
I stayed at the Hyatt House New Orleans Downtown and give it a 4.8/5-star rating for its location, proximity to Smoothie King/the Superdome (less than a10 10-minute walk to both facilities), and overall quality. The rooms were nice, very spacious, and came equipped with a mini kitchenette that included a stove, microwave, mini fridge, and mini island setup. It had a full couch, great TV channel options, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The walk-in shower was spacious, although the counter space was a bit small (sorry, ladies.)
The odd thing that I would point out is that to get to the front desk, you have to get on a street-level elevator to go to the eleventh floor, then get off that elevator to go to another set of elevators to get to your room. I did love that you can only get up to the guest rooms with a key card; that made me feel more safe and secure.

The Main Event: Monica and Brandy at Smoothie King Review
The Monica and Brandy show was a 10/10. As someone who loves live music and R&B, this concert was so special. Both of their mics were ON, and they put on an incredible show. The love, care, and intention behind the show was utterly amazing and inspiring. Their opening acts (Jamal, Keyshia Cole, and Kelly Rowland) were equally amazing.
It was a great night for R&B lovers and fans of live music. If they go on tour again, I’ll be there (God willing).
